What is The STAY at Liberty Farms?

The STAY at Liberty Farms is a boutique glamping site with 10 luxury canvas cabins, surrounding a central canvas lodge with lounge areas, dining spots, communal cooking facilities, and a camp store.

We are part of Liberty Farms, a 600+ acre organic farm with a full-service equestrian center and luxurious wedding venue in a separate converted stallion barn.

We are located in the Hudson Valley, surrounded by acres of Liberty Farms land, and yet minutes to the town of Hudson with all its shopping, dining, and entertainment facilities.

How far is The STAY from town?

The STAY is 7 miles (15 mins drive) from Warren Street in Hudson, 4 miles (8 mins drive) from Philmont, 5 miles (10 mins drive) from Chatham.

Where is my Canvas Cabin?

You will be designated a cabin within your booking group (Upper or Lower) on arrival. Please refer to the map for details on their locations.

What do I need to bring?

Please refer to our what to pack page for advice on what you should bring.

Is there hot running water?

Yes, our bathrooms have hot running water, flushing toilets and rain showers.

What about the weather in the summer or fall? What if its really hot or cold?

All 10 tents have fans for the warmer days, and heaters for the cooler days.

Is there Wifi?

No

Is there Cell Reception?

There is average cell reception at the site.

Are they tents or cabins?

They are officially safari tents, with the feel of cabins made out of canvas!

Is there electricity in the canvas cabins?

Yes, all 10 canvas cabins have electricity and power outlets.

Where are the bathrooms?

There are ensuite bathrooms at the back of each deck and connected to each tent, with rain shower, toilet, and sink with vanity.

Can I bring my dog?

YES. Friendly dogs are allowed in the Lower Canvas Cabins ONLY for an additional $25 per night. Please check the box for 'pet friendly' when making a reservation through the booking system. We ask that dogs sleep on the floor, and are not left unattended at any time during your stay.

Can we bring the kids?

Yes, of course, families have a great time at The STAY. One child under 7 who sleeps in the main bed can be accommodated free of charge,for an additional cot or children 7-17, a small fee of $40 a night will be required

Can I start a fire?

All campfires must be contained within the designated fire pit area and you are responsible for complying with local fire regulations and general safety considerations (including, amongst other things, observing total fire bans).

What is the change/cancellation policy?

What times are check-in and Check-out? Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Check-in is at 3pm, and check-out is at 11am. Please contact us if you will be arriving at The STAY at Liberty Farms after 8 pm. Early check-in or late check-out can be requested, and we will inform you of its availability at the time of your stay.

What is there to do?

Do as little or as much as you want for your STAY. Catch up on some sleep, read that book that has been sitting on your bedside table, play a board game, cook under the stars, watch the sunset, mingle with other campers, hike, explore the town, visit galleries or go antiquing, check out the local breweries and vineyards, do some yoga, visit a spa. Can I visit the farm?

Yes, please do. Firstly you will want to check out our farm store for all sorts of snacks and goodies, but keep an eye out for our welcome guide to see what farm tours are available at the time of your stay.

I am a guest at a wedding at The BARN at Liberty Farms, can I stay at The STAY?

We would love to host you at the STAY. Just moments away from the wedding venue, we can arrange a pick up in our golf cart at the end of the night! The tents have everything you need to get ready and glammed up for the wedding!

Can I reserve blocks of tents?

Yes, please contact us to request a room block.
